TAC MOB
Are you sick of this shit?
Such behaviour isn't just a minor annoyance: it pushes pedestrians into the road, it damages sidewalks, it reduces visibility. If left unchecked, it gives drivers an invincible sense of entitlement, which leads to more dangerous driving and more deaths on the road. There were 612 people killed on Hong Kong's roads in 2019, the vast majority of them pedestrians struck by moving vehicles. We're not putting up with this any more!
About TAC MOB
We are TACtical MOBility, born of tactical urbanism and "smart" mobility, invested in improving mobility for the majority of Hong Kong citizens who do not have access to a car.
Enforcement
Parking enforcement has a direct impact on the number of injuries and fatalities on our roads. We work with traffic police to enforce parking and traffic law, with the aim of not just catching those who break the law but elevating driving culture for a more considerate - and therefore safer - vehicle fleet.
Civil Disobedience
We operate peaceful disobedience campaigns to stem the worst of drivers' anti-social behaviour, including "eye for eye" road blocking where sidewalks are blocked by drivers.
Data
We map and measure traffic and pedestrian issues, supplying data to government departments and private fleets to help support better decision-making.
